Computer education company Mici Computer Education has recently published a blog post which includes an update on the Apple MacBook Pro.
Mici’s CEO and co-founder, Matthew Healy, explains that the new Apple Mac Pros have been given a new firmware update that allows them to perform some important new functions.
Specifically, the Mac Pro now allows users to take full advantage of Intel’s Turbo Boost 2.0 technology which allows the machine to boost performance up to 6.3Ghz and 4.3TFLOPS.
The new firmware also enables the Mac Pros to perform the latest in Intel integrated graphics, making it possible to run at full speed with Intel graphics on Intel’s latest desktop chipsets.
Micis new firmware will also enable Macs to perform new “high speed” memory configurations, which will allow Macs that already have high speed memory to take advantage of these additional performance gains.
MicIs new firmware is a great thing for all Mac users, but what does it mean for you?
If you are looking for a Mac that performs even better than the MacBook Pro, you may want to consider the Mac mini.
However, if you are using a Mac Pro and you want a smaller machine that’s also compatible with Intel’s integrated graphics and memory upgrades, then you might want to check out the Intel Xeon E5 processor from Broadcom.
MicI Computer Education recommends that you upgrade to the new firmware and that you use a high-end graphics card that supports the Intel Turbo Boost technology.
This upgrade is a no-brainer for many Mac users as the Intel integrated GPU is one of the key features that make the Mac’s graphics experience exceptional.
